vintage Scarpa Attak / Trionic series boots were premium, Italian-made backpacking boots originally released between the late 1980s and the 1990s. Technical Details Manufacturer: Handcrafted by Scarpa in Asolo, Italy. Upper Construction: Built using ultra-durable, thick aniline full-grain leather or nubuck leather with a padded ankle collar. Hardware: Heavy-duty steel D-rings and quick-lace speed hooks. Sole Package: Features a robust rubber roughtrack lugged outsole (often featuring Skywalk Traction or classic Vibram rubber compounds) glued to a dense polyurethane/rubber midsole for impact dampening and rigorous trail stability. Insole was removed. Weight: Substantial and heavy, built specifically for loaded multiday backcountry backpacking and traditional mountaineering.
