Description

This refers to the 1994 Decca recording of Giacomo Puccini’s Il Trittico, a cycle of three one-act operas: Il tabarro, Suor Angelica, and Gianni Schicchi.

The recording features Mirella Freni in a rare hat-trick, singing the lead female role in all three operas (Giorgetta, Angelica, and Lauretta)—a feat previously achieved by Renata Tebaldi.
