Vintage Corning Ware Summer Blush Pansy 2L Casserole Dish A-2-B with Pyrex Lid

There was a stretch of years when every good potluck dish came out of a white Corning Ware casserole — hot from the oven, still steaming under its glass dome, carried across the driveway with two hot pads and a lot of confidence. This one wore pansies on the side, the kind your mom planted in the front bed every May because they were cheerful and stubborn and they came back. This is the Corning Ware “Summer Blush” 2-liter casserole, model A-2-B, made in the U.S.A. in white Pyroceram with the original clear Pyrex A-9-C dome lid. The pansy band — raspberry pink, marigold yellow, and cornflower blue with trailing green leaves — wraps the front in that hand-painted watercolor style Corning used in its later floral patterns, and it still reads bright and clean against the white. ✦ The Details • Corning Ware — “Summer Blush” pansy pattern • Mid-to-late 1990s • Made in U.S.A. — stamped CORNING WARE ® / A-2-B 2L U.S.A. • 2 liter / 2 quart capacity • Approximately 8” square (about 10” handle to handle), roughly 4½–5” tall with the lid on • White Pyroceram glass-ceramic body with original clear Pyrex dome lid • Light surface scuffs on the underside from normal use — no chips, no cracks, pattern is bright • Lid seats correctly and is free of rim chips
