Furthermore, the increased material strength gives the mouthpiece itself great power, expanding the dynamic range.

◆Alan Baer Signature Mouthpiece
A signature mouthpiece supervised by Alan Baer, tuba player of the New York Philharmonic. The Original CC model, ideal for CC tubas, offers an excellent balance of tone quality, control, and functionality, producing a clear tone that holds up even in large orchestras. The Original F model for F tubas has a shallower cup and a narrower backbore, making it suitable for jazz and large ensembles. The MMVI model features a flatter, narrower rim, a sharper rim bite, and an added block of stainless steel at the base of the shank. The stainless steel used is high-quality, also used in aerospace engineering, providing excellent sound projection, definition, and clarity, allowing for a wide range of notes and a powerful sound.
