I am one of your fellow Poshers but also an author. This is my book that is part of a series of books that I’m working with along side my publisher in a “tell me about“ series. This book is special to me because I lived with Parkinson’s disease for for several years and did not know how to explain it to my future grandchildren and began sketching out ideas. I did a lot of research and was a part of many programs. My disease ended up progressing into a more refined diagnosis of Ehlers Danlos syndrome. I am now blessed with four beautiful grandchildren and I have been working very hard these last couple years creating this book because I feel it is very important. I was a first grade teacher for my entire career and I adore children’s books and know how children think. I feel this book calmly and lovingly explains Parkinson’s disease to a child in a way that they can understand. And most importantly gives them something they can do to help and a way that they can be apart of helping their grandparent get stronger or rest, etc.. Children are smarter than we give them credit for and they can understand these things.  They fear the unknown and they want to help in anyway they can.
