Rare 1918 Antique Sheet Music "I'm Going Back to Mississippi" (Framed Wall Art)

Rare 1918 Antique Sheet Music I'm Going Back to Mississippi (Framed Wall Art) Up for sale is a genuinely rare piece of early 20th-century Southern music ephemera: the 1918 sheet music for I'm Going Back to Mississippi, composed by Jack H. Russell and published by S.K. Turek in Chicago. While copies of this specific title are preserved in university archives, original physical prints are incredibly difficult to find on the open market. This piece comes housed in a clean, minimalist black metal frame with glass. It is entirely ready to hang as unique rustic wall art. Condition Note: This antique item shows heavy historical character. There is substantial, highly visible water staining/tidelines running along the bottom and sides of the sheet music, causing a wavy discoloration on the lower third. Despite the water damage, the central portrait of the featured female vocalist, the main title text, and the publisher's stamp remain completely clear and legible. The aging gives it a beautiful, authentically weathered relic appearance perfect for historic home decor. Perfect for a music room, history enthusiast, or Mississippi collector looking for a striking conversation piece. Smoke free home. Crossposted on other platforms. I am cleaning out my family's houses, so there is quite a bit for sale. Please check out my other listings and feel free to make offers as well! #sicasatttic #sheetmusic #rare
