Rare YAMAHA YTR-232 Bb Trumpet *Not Released in Japan

Please check my profile for details regarding price negotiations.
We kindly ask for your understanding and confirmation beforehand.

This is a YAMAHA B♭ trumpet, model YTR-232 (likely a later model).

In addition to the instrument itself, the following are included:
- Hard case (for transport)

This is an entry-level trumpet that YAMAHA produced from the 1960s to the 1980s.
It was sold overseas and does not appear to have been sold in Japan.
(A characteristic feature is the presence of A in the serial number.)
Therefore, this instrument is rarely seen in Japan.

It was reportedly a big hit in the United States at the time, and some professionals even chose to use this instrument.
(It seems to remain popular, as we often see it trading for a decent price on overseas auctions.)

Measurements show a bore of 11.7mm (equivalent to ML) and a bell diameter of 127mm.
When played, the sound has a bright impression, and as expected of an entry-level model, it is easy to produce sound and easy to play.
Also, compared to current entry-level models, the bell is larger, giving the impression of a wider sound projection.

The 3rd slide has a trigger, which allows for pitch correction when combining notes that tend to go sharp, such as 1+3 or 1+2+3.

It was originally sold as junk and unplayable, but it has been repaired to a playable condition.
Overall, there are scratches, discoloration, and dents due to age and use, but nothing that would affect playability.

For this listing, the inside of the tubes has been cleaned with neutral detergent and cleaner.
Consumables such as water key corks and cushion felts have also been replaced.
One of the piston buttons was missing (the 3rd one), so a button from another Yamaha trumpet of the same era has been attached.

After cleaning, it has been greased and tested for sound output, so it should be ready for immediate use.

While it would be a good instrument for beginners, I personally feel it has a strong appeal as a collector's item.
As opportunities to acquire this instrument in Japan are rare, and it often trades at high prices, we would be grateful if you would consider it if you are interested.

We believe the instrument is in good playing condition, but as it is an old item, please judge its condition from the photos before making a decision.

Please note that this item is also listed elsewhere.
We will prioritize the buyer who purchases it first, so we appreciate your understanding.
