The Petzl Rad Line is an extremely lightweight, isostatic cord designed for skiers to use in all emergency situations and rope operations.
It is detailed for ease of use: a coarse sheath for improved grip, which helps control descent on double ropes and aids braking action in the event of a crevasse fall.
Indeed, the Rad Line can be used for crevasse falls, double rope descents, or rappelling. That's why it's important to always have it in your backpack with all your safety gear.
