DENIS WICK 4 Jay Jennings

Denis Wick trumpet mouthpiece, model number 4.
Originally gold-plated, but it has worn thin, and it appears to be silver-plated underneath, giving it a silver-like appearance.
There were no issues with actual playing.

The inner diameter feels similar to a Bach 5C, with a flat rim, making it very comfortable on the lips and providing good endurance.
The cup is a deep U-shape, producing a soft, rich tone with a comfortable resistance, making it a model that allows for easy playing of high notes.

Denis Wick is a brand used by Jay Jennings, a trumpet player for the American instrumental band Snarky Puppy and an excellent jazz musician. He favors the 3C and 4C models and has praised them highly in interviews.
This model 4 has a slightly deeper and more V-shaped cup than the 4C, feeling similar to a Bach C cup but with a richer tone.

Roy Hargrove also played a Denis Wick model of this shape for a period.
While a standard for wind ensembles and classical music, it is also popular in jazz and pop.

You can see videos of Roy Hargrove playing Denis Wick during that time on YouTube, such as the live performance Roy Hargrove Quintet - It's Easy to Remember - Jazz à Vienne 1992 - LIVE. In these live videos, he plays with a wonderful tone using this type of Denis Wick mouthpiece.
Listening to this sound, you will understand that Denis Wick mouthpieces are excellent instruments with a wonderful tone, flexibility, and expressiveness, comparable to Monette and other high-end brands.

There are signs of use. The gold plating has worn significantly. Please check the photos and comments for details and confirm before purchasing. After purchase, please understand that there are no claims or returns.
