B. Hammig Flute Headjoint Lip/Riser/Crown 14K Gold

This is a headjoint made by Bernhard Hammig.

I used it with a Muramatsu SR PTP. Since the size was almost perfect, I did not adjust the joint after purchase.

While the Muramatsu original is attractive for its soft tone and volume, I sometimes found it difficult to control the intonation. I found this headjoint when I was looking for one that would make it easier to play in tune without sacrificing tone quality. The gold color is yellow gold.

With the Muramatsu original headjoint, I pull it out about 8mm-1cm, but with this headjoint, it's about 4mm. The overall length of the headjoint is almost the same as the Muramatsu, but the embouchure hole is closer to the crown. The embouchure shape is oval, but it's not too small and produces good volume. I have included a photo comparing it to a Muramatsu headjoint for your reference. The weight is exactly 90.0g, the same as the Muramatsu original headjoint (all silver, normal wall thickness, platinum plated).

I am selling it because I have purchased another flute and will likely have fewer opportunities to play my Muramatsu in the future.

Gold prices have soared, and gold flutes have become very expensive. Headjoints for all-gold flutes exceed 1 million yen. I am not considering discounts.

There are minor scratches and dents that are difficult to capture in photos. Please consider this item as used.

While I cannot accommodate trial playing, after purchase, I can confirm if the joint fits and arrange for direct handover on weekends in Tokyo (Shinjuku). In such cases, cancellations will not be accepted unless the headjoint is too tight to insert.
