The IDY S self-braking descender is designed for high-altitude work and rope access operations. The ergonomic handle allows for comfortable descent control. The panic-prevention function and false-operation prevention catch reduce the risk of accidents due to user error. The auto-lock system allows for easy stopping at the work position without operating the handle or tying off the rope. Even when locked, slack in the rope can be taken up without operating the handle. The safety catch allows the device to be attached to the harness before installing the rope. The IDY S can be used with ropes of diameter 10-11.5mm.
The lever does not return automatically, but can be manually stopped.
