Rare archival 1950s vintage pure silk square scarf from the early Scarves by Vera era. Features a beautiful, painterly blue cornflower botanical watercolor print on a cream canvas with an immaculate, genuine hand-rolled hem. This piece features the highly rare, intact early vintage fabric care label stamped Water-Repellent / Made in Japan. PLEASE NOTE CONDITION: This item is distressed and being sold strictly AS-IS for textile study, pattern replication, framing, or fabric upcycling. Due to the natural breakdown of the mid-century water-repellent chemical coating over the decades, the silk has become fragile,  displaying visible thinning, places worn completely through (holes), and vintage makeup staining along the fields.
