Reghin Contrabass Wood Bass

Reghin Double Bass

This is a Reghin double bass from HORA in Romania.

This is an all-laminate model, which retails for around ¥360,000 new in stores. The fingerboard and tailpiece are made of ebony.

It has been adjusted for string height and maintained annually at a renowned workshop in Tokyo, so I believe it is in good condition. The string height has been set as low as possible.

There are some scratches and peeling, but no critical cracks or damage to the wood. The bridge is also not warped.

It produces a solid and rich low-end sound. Thanks to the adjustments, the balance between the strings is good and it resonates well.

Currently strung with Pirastro Perpetual strings (used for 6 months).

There are marks where an EMG pickup was previously installed on the side under the fingerboard. (The holes have been filled.)

*Pickup is not included.

A worn soft case is included (please consider it a bonus).
