【For Pickup Only by Mr./Ms. Slacks】Oriente BO-15 Upright Bass

This is a listing for an Oriente Contrabass (ORIENTE BO-15).
While some online sources describe the BO-15 as an all-plywood instrument, this appears to be a model with a solid top, similar to current models like the HB-25 (though details are unclear). However, the endpin is a substantial 12mm (photo 12 - it's short), unlike the current 9.5mm. The tailpiece (including the tailgut) has likely been replaced with a good quality ebony one.
The manufacturing year is not explicitly stated, but the label (photo 13) suggests it was made in the 1980s. Perhaps due to its age, it has a good resonance, and the tone quality feels rich for an instrument with only a solid top.
When I acquired it, it was in a condition with an unusually large number of scratches, making it unsellable as is (please refer to photos 16 and 17). Therefore, the scratches have been repaired to be less noticeable by a workshop (photos 5-9), and the bridge and soundpost have been adjusted. Additionally, the pegs (tuning machines) appeared to be replacements, but many of the mounting screws were damaged, so they have been completely replaced and reinstalled (photos 10-11).

As I cannot arrange for shipping through a delivery service, this item is pickup only. However, I can deliver it to a designated location near you within Yamagata Prefecture, or to areas south of Akita City in Akita Prefecture, north of Sendai City in Miyagi Prefecture, north of Niigata City in Niigata Prefecture, etc., for an additional fee to cover actual costs such as fuel. I can also deliver to the nearest Shinkansen station along the Tohoku Shinkansen line for the actual transportation costs. (I can even accommodate delivery to stations like Ueno in Tokyo.)
Test plays can be arranged at my home in eastern Sakata City or in western Osaki City. If you wish to test play in Osaki City, there will be a venue rental fee of 500 yen per person (plus 500 yen for each accompanying person).

I hope this instrument can be used by students in junior high, high school, and university who are starting the contrabass through school clubs or ensembles such as brass bands, string ensembles, or orchestras, similar to the HB-25.
