Description
These are marked B&W Co. Pat’d 1923 / Kum-A-Part, placing them in the post-1923 Art Deco period. The construction is notably heavier and thicker than typical vintage cufflinks of this style, with a substantial layered body and patented snap-apart mechanism. The condition is excellent for age. There is normal antique surface wear and minor age patina, but the plating/finish appears far superior to ordinary plated examples. If not silver, the plating quality is exceptional compared with standard mid-century cufflinks. Metal content has not been tested, so they are being sold as silver-tone unless otherwise verified. A strong collector pair for anyone interested in early patented cufflink mechanisms, Art Deco men’s jewellery, monogram accessories, or the initials AD.
